Modlin: end of the liquids limit in carry-on and powerful growth in connections

Modlin Airport, previously regarded as one of the lower-rated airports in Poland, is announcing radical changes — plans include abolishing the liquids limit in carry-on baggage, which could make travelling easier for thousands of passengers.

The airport is growing rapidly:

• Traffic growth: Passenger traffic is increasing significantly.
• Infrastructure: Operators point to an urgent need for modernisation to cope with the influx of travellers.
• Ryanair expansion: The carrier announced it will double the number of connections served from Modlin, which is set to make this year a landmark one for the airport.

Despite the positive outlook, airport management and local authorities stress that without investment in terminals, car parks and public transport, growth may mean longer queues and delays.

Summary: Passengers can, however, look forward to more convenient baggage rules and a richer route network — the question remains how quickly the necessary improvements will be implemented.
