Modlin to erect a giant tent terminal before the season

Modlin increases capacity: Construction of a tent terminal begins.

Mazovian Warsaw-Modlin Airport is officially starting the process of expanding passenger infrastructure. The announced tender for the supply and assembly of a shell terminal is a strategic move aimed at preparing the port for increased traffic in the upcoming season.

Speed and modern prefabricates

The investment is based on modular technology. Unlike traditional buildings, the tent terminal will be assembled from ready-made elements on a previously prepared foundation. This includes not only the structure itself, but also the full execution of installation connections and finishing works. Thanks to this, the airport drastically reduces investment time, gaining necessary operational space almost immediately.

Comprehensive passenger service

The new facility will not just be a waiting room. The project provides for the creation of a full passenger service path: from ticket and baggage check-in counters, through the security control zone, to the boarding gates. The whole thing will be connected with existing access roads and baggage systems, which will ensure smooth traffic even at maximum flight occupancy.

Goal: An end to giant queues

The main task of the temporary terminal is to relieve congestion during peak hours. The airport emphasizes that the solution meets all applicable safety standards and sanitary requirements. It is a transitional solution that will allow Modlin to maintain high quality of service and competitiveness until the target construction investments are completed.

Status of works

The tender procedure is currently underway. The selected contractor will have to demonstrate not only an attractive price, but above all a short implementation time and the provision of technical service. After signing the contract, the assembly of the structure is expected to proceed at an express pace.
